Just finished reading the book "The secret of Knot Garden" and I could not put it down. It has all the elements of a classic childrens novel and more, and will be enjoyed by any age. The characters are easy to adore, bordering on jealousy for their fine adventures. Imagine the famous five, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, the second world war, two mysteries, nuns, spies, evacuees, and a bit of Dad's army thrown in for good measure. You can't go wrong.
